Reynolds and Reynolds to Move Dayton Call Center Operations to Company's World Headquarters in Kettering

DAYTON, OHIO - July 30, 2008 - Reynolds and Reynolds announced today the company has informed city of Dayton officials it intends to relocate its Technical Assistance Center (TAC) operations from leased space in downtown Dayton to the Reynolds and Reynolds Company Headquarters at Research Park in Kettering. The move, which will involve approximately 400 Reynolds associates who currently work in downtown Dayton, will occur gradually over the next several months. All jobs and functions in the TAC will remain unchanged; the operation will simply move to existing facilities at Reynolds Headquarters, bringing the total number of associates working in Kettering to approximately 1,500. The company also indicated that its customers should expect no disruption in service or technical support due to the move.

"While it's common to read about companies who move call centers out of state - and out of country - we have chosen to continue to invest in this area and our headquarters location in Kettering," said Rob Nalley, president of Reynolds and Reynolds. "Our Technical Assistance Center is a world-class operation and the associates who staff it are absolutely the best at what they do. We take a great deal of pride in the TAC and in the fact we can now integrate that operation with our other functions at headquarters. This is an important step forward for our associates and our business."

Nalley cited a number of business reasons for combining TAC operations with Reynolds Headquarters operations.

"First, our headquarters campus is a world-class facility with the flexibility to accommodate the added call center functions. Plus, by having the operation in our own facility - one that we own and manage - we are better able to plan for growth in how we outfit, staff, and operate the TAC.

"Second, the opportunity to situate our technical assistance associates side-by-side with our software development associates makes a great deal of business sense. These teams interact with each other frequently and will gain a lot in operating effectiveness simply by working in closer proximity to each other. Ultimately, our customers will benefit from this, as well. When you think about it, it's much more efficient to have associates working together in a single location than working in two separate facilities that are several miles apart."

Nalley concluded: "By combining our operations at headquarters, the economic strength of the Dayton region doesn't change; if anything, this is one more step in strengthening Reynolds as a company for the long term, which can make the region even stronger."
